How to apply
Applications may be submitted by eform, post or email and should include the following:
- Charity number and brief history
- Details of previous applications to The Marjory Boddy Trust
- Sum being applied for
- What the funds are needed for
- How any grant would be spent
- Who will benefit in terms of age groups, numbers, needs, location
- Applicant’s contact details.
All applications for grants exceeding £20,000 in value must be accompanied by current accounts and copies of safeguarding and equality policies.
Who can apply
The Marjory Boddy Charitable Trust welcomes applications for grants from registered charities related but not confined to the areas of health, education, welfare and the arts.
Such organisations should be:
- based within the Chester, West Cheshire or immediate surrounding areas, and/or
- be able to demonstrate that their activities deliver a direct benefit or meet the specific needs of groups or individuals within those local communities, particularly those who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or overlooked.
The Trust particularly welcomes applications from charities for projects and other initiatives that enable others to help themselves and create sustainable outcomes.
The Trust prefers applications that fund capital costs but requests to cover running costs or salaries will be considered.
All applications for grants exceeding £20,000 in value must be accompanied by current accounts and copies of safeguarding and equality policies.
trustee meetings
Trustees meet three times a year in February June and October to consider applications. Successful applicants will be notified within 28 days of the meetings.
