"A local charitable trust helping local people by supporting local charities…"

About the Marjory Boddy Charitable Trust

The Chester-based Trust was set up in 2002 to manage the assets and investments of the late Marjory Boddy who lived in Lache Lane, Chester, and was during her lifetime a keen supporter and benefactor of many local good cases.

The Marjory Boddy Charitable Trust meets three times a year to consider applications for grants from registered charities that are involved in but not confined to the areas of health, education, welfare and the arts.

Applicants should be based within the Chester, West Cheshire or immediate surroundings areas, and/or be able to demonstrate that their activities or services deliver a direct benefit or meet the specific needs of groups or individuals within those local communities, particularly those who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or overlooked. Those applicants in Chester and the surrounding areas are more likely to be funded.

£ 50

Since the Trust was established, hundreds of local charities have benefited from grants ranging from £50.00 to £40,000.
